3030 AN ACT CONCERNING A WORK REQUIREMENT FOR RECIPIENTS

3232 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
3333 Assembly convened:

3535 That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require able-1
3636 bodied adults without dependent children to work or volunteer for a 2
3737 minimum of twenty hours weekly to receive supplemental nutrition 3
3838 assistance, state-administered general assistance, Medicaid and other 4
3939 state-administered assistance. 5
4040 Statement of Purpose:
4141 To promote work among recipients of public assistance to improve
4242 their life prospects.
