AN ACT CONCERNING UNCLAIMED CHECKS OF TOWNS AND
BOARDS OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 32 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
any sum payable on a check certified in this state or written instrument 2
issued in this state that is owed to a town or local or regional board of 3
education that has been presumed abandoned shall be paid to such 4
town or board of education. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require the payment of checks made out to a town or board of
education that have remained unclaimed to such town or board.
