ALLIE-BRENNAN, 2 nd Dist. (By Request) AN ACT EXPANDING MENTAL HEALTH CARE OPTIONS UNDER THE MEDICAID PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to expand mental 1 health care options for Medicaid recipients by reimbursing accredited 2 and certified therapists, addiction specialists and others in addition to 3 licensed clinical social workers for mental health treatment. 4 Statement of Purpose: To provide mental health parity and reduce costs in the Medicaid program through early intervention by increasing consumer access to a larger menu of accredited providers.
