25 | 25 | That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require 1 | |
26 | 26 | recipients of cash assistance programs administered by the 2 | |
27 | 27 | Department of Social Services to (1) undergo tests for use of illegal 3 | |
28 | 28 | substances if there is evidence supporting a reasonable suspicion such 4 | |
29 | 29 | recipient is using such substances, (2) complete an education and 5 | |
30 | 30 | treatment program if such recipient tests positive for use of such 6 | |
31 | 31 | substances, and (3) be declared ineligible for cash assistance upon 7 | |
32 | 32 | failure to complete a required education and treatment program or 8 | |
33 | 33 | testing positive not less than three times for use of such substances. 9 | |
