AN ACT CONCERNING A PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP FOR CRUMBLING CONCRETE FOUNDATIONS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR SUCH PARTNERSHIP. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That (1) the general statutes be amended to establish (A) a 1 partnership between this state and the captive insurance company 2 established pursuant to section 38a-91vv of the general statutes to fund 3 the development of methods to reduce the cost of repairing and 4 replacing crumbling concrete foundations, and (B) a board of directors 5 to oversee the operations of such partnership that includes, but is not 6 limited to, members with experience in the fields of materials science, 7 chemistry, structural engineering, construction, patent law, technology 8 and venture capitalism, and (2) the sum of eight million dollars be 9 appropriated to such partnership. 10 Statement of Purpose: To establish a partnership between this state and the Connecticut Foundation Solutions Indemnity Company, LLC, and appropriate the sum of eight million dollars to such partnership.
