1818 AN ACT CONCERNING A "MOVE OVER" LAW FOR OIL AND GAS
1919 DELIVERY VEHICLES, GARBAGE TRUCKS AND RECYCLING

2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That chapter 248 of the general statutes be amended to require 1
2525 motor vehicle operators to slow down or move over one lane when 2
2626 passing tank vehicles, as defined in section 14-1 of the general statutes, 3
2727 or commercial motor vehicles equipped with a garbage compactor, a 4
2828 detachable container or a curbside recycling body. 5
2929 Statement of Purpose:
3030 To increase public safety by requiring motorists to slow down or move
3131 over one lane when passing oil and gas delivery vehicles, garbage
3232 trucks and recycling trucks.
