2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BACKGROUND
2222 CHECKS FOR STUDENT TEACHERS.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That section 10-221d of the general statutes be amended to allow a 1
2727 candidate in a program of teacher preparation to submit to a single 2
2828 state and national criminal history records check, including 3
2929 fingerprinting, in a year for purposes of completing his or her student 4
3030 teaching experience requirement, and that such criminal history 5
3131 records check may be shared with multiple local and regional boards 6
3232 of education if such candidate completes such student teaching 7
3333 experience in multiple school districts during such year. 8
3434 Statement of Purpose:
3535 To allow a single background check in a year for student teachers and
3636 to allow such background check to be shared among multiple boards
3737 of education.
