AN ACT CONCERNING DISCLOSURE OF PRESIDENTIAL AND GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATES' FEDERAL TAX RETURNS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that no 1 candidate for President or Vice President of the United States, or 2 Governor or Lieutenant Governor, may appear on any primary or 3 general election ballot unless such candidate publicly discloses his or 4 her tax returns for at least the past two years. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require presidential and gubernatorial candidates to publicly disclose a minimum of their past two years' worth of tax returns in order to gain access to the primary and general election ballots.
