AN ACT PROVIDING RESOURCES TO CERTAIN STUDENTS AT 
PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 10a of general statutes be amended to require the Board of 1 
Trustees of The University of Connecticut and the Board of Regents for 2 
Higher Education to develop a program to provide funding and other 3 
resources, including, but not limited to, mentoring, housing or work-4 
study for students enrolled in degree programs related to science, 5 
technology, engineering or mathematics-related fields at institutions of 6 
higher education within the jurisdiction of said boards. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide funding and other resources for students pursuing degrees 
in science, technology, engineering or mathematics-related fields at 
public institutions of higher education.
