1621 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

19-Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Labor Commissioner shall 1
20-study whether employers with twenty-five or more employees should 2
21-automatically enroll their employees into direct paycheck deposit 3
22-programs and whether any such enrolled employees should have the 4
23-option to opt out of such programs and elect to be paid by either cash 5
24-or check. 6
25-(b) Not later than January 1, 2020, the Labor Commissioner shall 7
26-report the results of the study completed pursuant to subsection (a) of 8
27-this section, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the 9
28-general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 10
29-Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor. 11
24+Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any other 1
25+provision of the general statutes, an employer with twenty-five or 2
