1818 AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION.
1919 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2020 Assembly convened:

2222 That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to: (1) Increase 1
2323 the claimant’s earnings threshold required to qualify for benefits from 2
2424 six hundred dollars to three thousand dollars per year; (2) prohibit 3
2525 individuals from receiving benefits during any period during which 4
2626 they are receiving severance pay; (3) freeze the max imum 5
2727 unemployment benefit rate in any year in which the Unemployment 6
2828 Trust Fund is less than seventy per cent solvent; and (4) clarify the 7
2929 definition of "day of unexcused absence" to mean one day. 8
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To update and reform unemployment compensation law and protect
3232 the solvency of the Unemployment Trust Fund.
