| 24 | 24 | That the Department of Public Health and the Insurance 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | Department jointly conduct a study of the optimization of the State-2 | |
| 26 | 26 | wide Health Information Exchange and the interoperability of 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | electronic health record systems through consultation with 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | stakeholders, including, but not limited to, hospitals, physicians, 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | providers of outpatient services, community health cen ters, 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | pharmacies and patients. Not later than January 1, 2020, said 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | departments shall submit to the joint standing committee of the 8 | |
| 32 | 32 | General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public 9 | |
