2019 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF MEDICAID-FUNDED STATE

2221 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2322 Assembly convened:

2524 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Commissioner of Social 1
2625 Services shall conduct a study of Medicaid-funded state programs 2
2726 administered under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, as amended 3
2827 from time to time. Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, 4
2928 a report on: (1) Factors the commissioner deems pertinent to quality of 5
3029 care; (2) whether there are any gaps in access by eligible residents; and 6
3130 (3) whether any provisions of the programs need to be changed to 7
3231 conform with requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable 8
3332 Care Act, P.L. 111-148, as amended from time to time. 9
3433 (b) Not later than July 1, 2020, the commissioner shall report the 10
3534 results of the study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 11
3635 of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General 12
3736 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to aging and human 13
3837 services. Such report may include the commissioner's 14
3938 recommendations for addressing any identified gaps in the provision 15
