Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Commissioner of Social 1 Services shall conduct a study of Medicaid-funded state programs 2 administered under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, as amended 3 from time to time. Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, 4 a report on: (1) Factors the commissioner deems pertinent to quality of 5 care; (2) whether there are any gaps in access by eligible residents; and 6 (3) whether any provisions of the programs need to be changed to 7 conform with requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable 8 Care Act, P.L. 111-148, as amended from time to time. 9 (b) Not later than July 1, 2020, the commissioner shall report the 10 results of the study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 11 of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General 12 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to aging and human 13 services.
