AN ACT PROHIBITING THE DISAGGREGATION OF STUDENT DATA
BY ETHNIC SUBGROUPS IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOL INFORMATION
SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-10a of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
the disaggregation of student data by ethnic subgroups unless such 2
disaggregated student data is required under federal law or collected 3
uniformly for all ethnic subgroups among the entire student 4
population in the state. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the collection of disaggregated student data on specific
ethnic subgroups unless such student data is required by federal law
or collected uniformly across the entire population of students.
