28 | 28 | That chapter 173 of the general statutes be amended to require each 1 | |

30 | 30 | committee to ensure that the safe school design and operation 3 | |
31 | 31 | standards, as developed by the Department of Emergency Services and 4 | |
32 | 32 | Public Protection and the Department of Education, are being 5 | |
33 | 33 | implemented, and that such committee includes, at least, the 6 | |
34 | 34 | superintendent of schools, the local chief of police, the local fire chief, a 7 | |
35 | 35 | representative of a local emergency medical services organization, a 8 | |
36 | 36 | local public health official, a representative from the office or 9 | |
37 | 37 | organization responsible for facility maintenance, a mental and 10 | |
38 | 38 | behavioral health professional, and a representative from a parent 11 | |
