| 22 | 22 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

| 25 | 25 | That chapter 35 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 | |
| 26 | 26 | Attorney General to (1) annually publish a list of any state of the 2 | |
| 27 | 27 | United States, or any political subdivision thereof, that issues permits 3 | |
| 28 | 28 | or certificates to carry a firearm with substantially similar standards 4 | |
| 29 | 29 | for age, background investigation and training as required by 5 | |
| 30 | 30 | subsection (b) of section 29-28 of the general statutes, and (2) negotiate 6 | |
| 31 | 31 | and enter into agreements on behalf of the state of Connecticut with 7 | |
| 32 | 32 | the appropriate authorities of any state of the United States, or any 8 | |
| 33 | 33 | political subdivision thereof, granting reciprocity to any person with a 9 | |
| 34 | 34 | permit or certificate to carry a firearm, provided such state or political 10 | |
| 35 | 35 | subdivision has substantially similar standards for age, background 11 | |
| 36 | 36 | investigation and training as required by subsection (b) of section 29-12 | |
