AN ACT CONCERNING LIABILITY WHEN INDIVIDUALS ARE 
EXPOSED TO MOLD IN LEASED COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to clarify (1) liability for 1 
exposure to toxic mold in a leased commercial building, and (2)  2 
responsibility for mold remediation in a leased commercial building. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To protect commercial building tenants from being held responsible 
for mold remediation or liable for toxic mold exposure that they did 
not cause.
