20 | 20 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
21 | 21 | Assembly convened: | |

23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to provide that (1) interlocal 1 | |
24 | 24 | agreements and service sharing contracts between two or more 2 | |
25 | 25 | municipalities shall be valid notwithstanding conflicting provisions of 3 | |
26 | 26 | any participating municipality's charter or municipal ordinances; and 4 | |
27 | 27 | (2) municipalities shall, when possible, amend such municipalities' 5 | |
28 | 28 | charters to eliminate references to specific organizational structures, 6 | |
29 | 29 | including, but not limited to, departments. 7 | |
30 | 30 | Statement of Purpose: | |
31 | 31 | To provide that (1) interlocal agreements and service sharing contracts | |
32 | 32 | between two or more municipalities shall be valid notwithstanding | |
