AN ACT REQUIRING THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY 
AUTHORITY TO DEVELOP STANDARDS FOR THE PROCESS FOR 
ATTACHING EQUIPMENT TO UTILITY POLES FOR OWNERS OF 
UTILITY POLES AND PEOPLE WHO OCCUPY AND USE UTILITY 
POLES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require the Public 1 
Utilities Regulatory Authority to develop standards for the process for 2 
attaching equipment to utility poles, including 5G and fiber wires for 3 
high-speed broadband Internet infrastructure, for owners of utility 4 
poles and people who occupy and use utility poles. 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority to develop 
standards for the process for attaching equipment to utility poles for 
owners of utility poles and people who occupy and use utility poles.
