1922 AN ACT CONCERNING ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE PLANS.
2023 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2124 Assembly convened:

23-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2019) (a) Not later than January 1, 1
24-2020, the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, in 2
25-consultation with the Police Officer Standards and Training Council 3
26-established under section 7-294b of the general statutes, shall develop 4
27-standards that municipalities may use to develop active shooter 5
28-response plans. The standards shall include guidance on creating a list 6
29-of state and municipal agencies that could respond to calls for mutual 7
30-aid assistance and prioritizing requests for mutual aid depending on 8
31-the severity of an incident. 9
32-(b) The department shall make such standards available to 10
33-municipalities not later than January 1, 2020. The department shall 11
34-assist a municipality, upon the municipality's request, in developing 12
35-an active shooter response plan that is suitable to the municipality's 13
36-needs. 14
