1818 AN ACT CONCERNING INDIVIDUALS WHO POSSESS FIREARMS
1919 WHILE PROVIDING SCHOOL SECURITY SERVICES.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That section 10-244a of the general statutes be amended to (1) 1
2424 ensure that a person who will possess a firearm while providing school 2
2525 security services in a public school satisfactorily completes a child 3
2626 abuse and neglect registry check and a state and national criminal 4
2727 history records check, pursuant to section 10-221d of the general 5
2828 statutes, prior to performing any school security duties, and (2) require 6
2929 that a municipality or local or regional school board employing or 7
3030 entering into an agreement with such a person notify the local police 8
3131 department of such person's name. 9
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To (1) ensure that a person who will possess a firearm while providing
3434 school security services in a public school satisfactorily completes a
3535 child abuse and neglect registry check and a state and national
3636 criminal history records check prior to performing any school security
3737 duties, and (2) require notification of a local police department when a
3838 municipality or local or regional school board employs or enters into
3939 an agreement with such a person.
