AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL ZONING REGULATIONS AND
FAIR HOUSING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 8-2 of the general statutes be amended to (1) make 1
technical changes to streamline and clarify said section, (2) require 2
municipalities to demonstrate compliance with certain provisions of 3
said section in the adoption of such municipalities' zoning regulations 4
in order to receive discretionary state funding, and (3) clarify that 5
municipal zoning regulations shall further the purposes of the Fair 6
Housing Act. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To (1) make technical changes to streamline and clarify said section, (2)
require municipalities to demonstrate compliance with certain
provisions of said section in the adoption of such municipalities'
zoning regulations in order to receive discretionary state funding, and
(3) clarify that municipal zoning regulations shall further the purposes
of the Fair Housing Act.
