AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR REGIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION CENTERS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 10-65 of the general statutes be amended to increase the 1 per student funding to twelve thousand five hundred dollars for 2 students enrolled in an agricultural science and technology education 3 center; further that section 10-262f of the general statutes be amended 4 to exclude students enrolled in an agricultural science and technology 5 education center from the resident student count of a town for 6 purposes of equalization aid grants; and further that the general 7 statutes be amended to transfer in the current state budget, for the 8 fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, the sum of $8,226,757 appropriated to 9 the Department of Education, for Education Equalization Grants to the 10 Department of Education, for Vocational Agriculture. 11 Statement of Purpose: To achieve funding equity of the per student grant for agricultural science and technology education centers and the Technical Education and Career System.
