AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR DIRECT CARE WORKERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a training and 1
development advisory committee to develop guidelines to improve the 2
level of training direct care workers receive. The committee shall 3
determine: (1) The extent to which direct care workers who serve 4
clients with higher levels of need may require additional training to 5
adequately serve such clients, (2) what training curricula, if any, needs 6
to be developed to provide such training, and (3) how to provide such 7
training in a manner that ensures consistent care across government 8
agencies. 9
Statement of Purpose:
To develop guidelines to improve the level of training direct care
workers receive.
