36 | 36 | That title 53a of the general statutes be amended to make it a 1 | |
37 | 37 | criminal offense for any adult to coerce or conspire with a juvenile to 2 | |
38 | 38 | commit a gang-related crime if the adult has knowledge that such 3 | |
39 | 39 | juvenile is under eighteen years of age and the adult has coerced or 4 | |
40 | 40 | conspired with the juvenile with the knowledge and intention that the 5 | |
41 | 41 | juvenile will face a reduced criminal penalty due to the juvenile's age, 6 | |
42 | 42 | to provide that such offense shall be a class D felony and to further 7 | |
43 | 43 | provide that a state's attorney shall not be precluded from charging a 8 | |
44 | 44 | person charged under such offense with any other charge available to 9 | |
45 | 45 | the state's attorney. 10 | |
