AN ACT CONCERNING JUDICIAL BRANCH ACCOUNTABILITY AND
TRANSPARENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish an accountability 1
and transparency metric for the purpose of analyzing judicial decisions 2
and judicial sentencing for all state court judges. Such metric shall 3
include factors such as race, sex, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation 4
and gender identity, in relation to the parties in civil and criminal 5
matters, judicial decisions and criminal sentencing. Such metric and 6
the ancillary information used to formulate the metric shall be readily 7
transparent and available for public access. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an accountability and transparency metric for the purpose
of analyzing judicial decisions and judicial sentencing for all state
court judges.
