AN ACT CONCERNING CHILD SUPPORT AND THE OFFICE OF CHILD 
SUPPORT SERVICES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That: (1) Section 46b-84 of the general statutes be amended to ensure 1 
that a court does not engage in gender bias when entering an order of 2 
support in a family relations matter, and (2) section 17b-179 be 3 
amended to require that the Office of Child Support Services send a 4 
copy of any correspondence sent by said office to a state or federal 5 
agency concerning an allegedly delinquent child support amount 6 
owed by the child support obligor that potentially could result in a loss 7 
of income to the obligor or interfere with the obligor's ability to secure 8 
income and future employment.     9 
Statement of Purpose:   
To ensure that (1) a court does not engage in gender bias when 
entering an order of support in a family relations matter, and (2) a 
child support obligor is aware of actions that may be taken by state or 
federal agencies that could result in loss of income or diminished 
future earning capacity.
