AN ACT REQUIRING THE ADOPTION OF NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF 
STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS FOR CONCRETE 
AGGREGATE. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 
Consumer Protection to adopt National Institute of Standards and 2 
Technology recommended regulations that: (1) Require that more than 3 
one per cent of sulfur be rejected from any concrete aggregate, (2) 4 
apply to all Connecticut state quarries uniformly, and (3) create a 5 
standardized concrete testing procedure so that data is consistent 6 
among laboratories. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To adopt reasonable regulations regarding concrete aggregate.
