AN ACT FUNDING THE STATE -WIDE FIREARMS TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE BY REDUCING CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM GRANTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to reduce Citizens' Election 1 Program grant amounts for legislative candidates by ten per cent and 2 that those funds be redirected to the Department of Emergency 3 Services and Public Protection for the purpose of restoring funding to 4 the state-wide firearms trafficking task force, established pursuant to 5 section 29-38e of the general statutes. 6 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding to the state-wide firearms trafficking task force and prevent deaths from illegally trafficked firearms.
