1412 AN ACT EXPANDING THE KATIE BECKETT WAIVER PROGRAM.
1513 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

18-Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The Department of Social Services 1
19-may, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, increase capacity for and 2
20-reduce the waiting list of the Medicaid waiver program established 3
21-pursuant to section 17b-283 of the general statutes that provides home 4
22-and community-based services to persons who (1) are institutionalized 5
23-or at risk of institutionalization; (2) are twenty-one years of age or 6
24-younger; (3) have a physical disability and may also have a co-7
25-occurring developmental disability; and (4) meet the financial 8
26-eligibility criteria established for the waiver program. 9
