2020 AN ACT CONCERNING DE SIGNATED DRIVERS IN THE OFFICE OF
2121 ADVOCACY AND ASSISTA NCE DISTRICT OFFICES.
2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2525 Section 1. Subdivision (1) of subsection (b) of section 27-102l of the 1
2626 general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu 2
2727 thereof (Effective October 1, 2019): 3
2828 (b) (1) (A) The commissioner may appoint a manager to administer 4
2929 an Office of Advocacy and Assistance for the aid and benefit of 5
3030 veterans and their spouses, eligible dependents and family members. 6
3131 The office shall have a staff of not less than eight men and women, 7
3232 including six veterans' service officers, and clerical personnel. The 8
3333 manager and veterans' service officers shall be veterans, as defined in 9
3434 subsection (a) of section 27-103, or veterans who were awarded the 10
3535 armed forces expeditionary medal for service by the armed forces. 11
3636 (B) The manager shall designate five members of the office staff to 12
3737 drive veterans to medical appointments and employment interviews. 13
