AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF VETERANS' SERVICES O FFERED
BY OASIS CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Veterans 1
Affairs shall conduct a study of the Operation Academic Support for 2
Incoming Service Members (OASIS) centers already established at 3
certain public institutions of higher education in this state to (1) 4
identify means of expanding availability of any programming 5
developed or service offered at such OASIS centers to any veteran, 6
regardless of enrollment at any such public institution of higher 7
education, and (2) evaluate the feasibility of any such expansion. The 8
commissioner shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 9
11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such study to the joint 10
standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 11
matters relating to veterans' and military affairs on or before January 1, 12

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To study the expansion of OASIS centers programming and services to
all veterans, regardless of enrollment at a public institution of higher
education in this state at which such center may be established.
