1420 AN ACT CONCERNING AC CESS TO VETERANS' RESOURCES

1622 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1723 Assembly convened:

1925 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1, 1
20-2020, the Department of Veterans Affairs shall collaborate with the 2
21-United Way of Connecticut to ensure that the 2-1-1 Infoline program 3
22-provides veterans who served in the armed forces, as defined in 4
23-subsection (a) of section 27-103 of the general statutes, who access the 5
24-program with information on (1) public and private resources 6
25-available for veterans, and (2) the steps by which such veterans may 7
26-access such resources as soon as practicable. 8
26+2020, the United Way of Connecticut 2-1-1 Infoline program shall 2
27+provide veterans who access said program with information on (1) 3
28+public and private resources available for veterans, and (2) the steps by 4
29+which such veterans may access such resources. Such information shall 5
30+be provided to any veteran described in this section as soon as 6
31+practicable after such veteran accesses said program. 7
