AN ACT CONCERNING EL ECTRONIC AND REMOTE NOTARIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the State 1
shall develop a plan to allow notaries to perform electronic and remote 2
notarial acts. Not later than February 1, 2020, the Secretary of the State 3
shall submit recommendations for any requisite legislative proposals 4
for the implementation of such plan to the joint standing committee of 5
the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to 6
commerce. 7
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
