20	19		AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE STATE LAWS GOVERNING
21	20		CIVIL PROCEDURE.
22	21		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
23	22		Assembly convened:

25	24		Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working 1
26	25		group to study the state's laws governing civil procedure as set forth in 2
27	26		title 51 and chapter 54 of the general statutes. The working group shall 3
28	27		receive, consider and prepare comments and recommendations on 4
29	28		proposed changes to such laws governing civil procedure. The 5
30	29		working group shall consist of the following members who have 6
31	30		familiarity with the provisions set forth in title 51 and chapter 54 of the 7
32	31		general statutes: (1) One appointed by the speaker of the House of 8
33	32		Representatives; (2) one appointed by the president pro tempore of the 9
34	33		Senate; (3) one appointed by the majority leader of the House of 10
35	34		Representatives; (4) one appointed by the majority leader of the Senate; 11
36	35		(5) one appointed by the minority leader of the House of 12
37	36		Representatives; and (6) one appointed by the minority leader of the 13
38	37		Senate. Not later than February 1, 2020, the working group shall report 14
39	38		on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee 15

48	46		submits such report or February 1, 2020, whichever is later. 18
