30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, the Continuing Legislative Committee on State 1 |

31 | 31 | | Planning and Development is charged by chapter 297 of the general 2 |

32 | 32 | | statutes with promulgating a state plan of conservation and 3 |

34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, the Continuing Legislative Committee on State 5 |

35 | 35 | | Planning and Development has, since 1976, overseen the process of 6 |

36 | 36 | | drafting, improving, refining and revising the state plan of 7 |
---|
37 | 37 | | conservation and development which has been carried out by the 8 |
---|
38 | 38 | | Office of Policy and Management; and 9 |
---|
39 | 39 | | WHEREAS, the Continuing Legislative Committee on State 10 |

40 | 40 | | Planning and Development has held meetings and hearings and has 11 |
---|
41 | 41 | | incorporated the recommendations of municipalities and stakeholders 12 |

51 | 51 | | expand housing opportunities and design choices to accommodate a 17 |

53 | 53 | | around transportation nodes and along major transportation corridors 19 |

54 | 54 | | to support the viability of transportation options; (4) conserve and 20 |

55 | 55 | | restore the natural environment, cultural and historical resources, and 21 |

56 | 56 | | traditional rural lands; (5) protect and ensure the integrity of 22 |
