2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

25-Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2019) (a) The Commissioner of 1
26-Consumer Protection shall conduct a study regarding the possible 2
27-reduction by seventy-five per cent of all existing fees for initial 3
28-occupational licenses, certifications and registrations issued by the 4
29-Department of Consumer Protection and the possible increasing of 5
30-existing renewal fees for such licenses, certifications and registrations 6
31-to account for lost revenue. 7
32-(b) Not later than January 1, 2020, the Commissioner of Consumer 8
33-Protection, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, 9
34-shall report the results of the study conducted pursuant to subsection 10
35-(a) of this section to the joint standing committee of the General 11
36-Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to consumer 12
37-protection. 13

43-This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
