AN ACT ESTABLISHING WOMEN'S ECONOMIC EQUALITY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish economic equality 1 
for women by: (1) Requiring paid family and medical leave; (2) 2 
increasing the minimum wage to fifteen dollars per hour by 2021; (3) 3 
extending required sexual harassment prevention training to 4 
companies with fewer than twenty employees, and requiring all such 5 
training to be conducted annually regardless of the number of 6 
employees; (4) requiring equal pay for equal work, establishing 7 
standards for employees to prove unequal pay, establishing a 8 
presumption that employers are in compliance with equal pay 9 
standards if they conduct regular pay audits to ensure equal pay for 10 
equal work; and (5) providing that each private and public employer 11 
have a minimum of ten per cent of women on their board of directors 12 
by 2021, and thirty per cent of women on such boards by 2023. 13 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish economic equality for women.
