1919 AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES'
2020 FEDERAL TAX RETURNS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit 1
2525 presidential candidates from appearing on the presidential preference 2
2626 primary and general election ballots, unless they file their tax returns 3
2727 for the past five years with the Secretary of the State, and (2) require 4
2828 the Secretary to redact information on such tax returns as deemed 5
2929 appropriate and publish such redacted tax returns on the Secretary's 6
3030 Internet web site. 7
3131 Statement of Purpose:
3232 To require presidential candidates to publicly disclose their past five
3333 years' worth of tax returns in order to gain access to the primary and
3434 general election ballots.
