AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES' 
FEDERAL TAX RETURNS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit 1 
presidential candidates from appearing on the presidential preference 2 
primary and general election ballots, unless they file their tax returns 3 
for the past five years with the Secretary of the State, and (2) require 4 
the Secretary to redact information on such tax returns as deemed 5 
appropriate and publish such redacted tax returns on the Secretary's 6 
Internet web site. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require presidential candidates to publicly disclose their past five 
years' worth of tax returns in order to gain access to the primary and 
general election ballots.
