| 20 | 20 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |
| 21 | 21 | Assembly convened: | |

| 23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit a state agency 1 | |
| 24 | 24 | from constructing a firearms training facility in this state if (A) the 2 | |
| 25 | 25 | facility is within, adjoining or near a state forest, or (B) the 3 | |
| 26 | 26 | municipality or municipalities within whose territorial limits such 4 | |
| 27 | 27 | firearms training facility is to be located does not approve of the 5 | |
| 28 | 28 | facility by a referendum of the electors, and (2) require the Department 6 | |
| 29 | 29 | of Emergency Services and Public Protection to (A) conduct a study 7 | |
| 30 | 30 | regarding its firearm training needs, and (B) identify property 8 | |
| 31 | 31 | previously considered for the construction of a firearms training 9 | |
| 32 | 32 | facility as deficient for such construction. 10 | |
