AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF AN ABANDONED RAILROAD BRIDGE OVER THE HOP RIVER AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTI -USE TRAIL IN HOP RIVER STATE PARK IN COLUMBIA. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the 1 issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the 2 general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate 3 two million two hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall 4 be used by the Department of Economic and Community 5 Development for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the town 6 of Columbia for the replacement of an abandoned railroad bridge over 7 the Hop River, including a pedestrian bridge, and the construction of 8 four thousand four hundred feet of a multi-use trail as part of the East 9 Coast Greenway system in Hop River State Park. 10 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding for the replacement of an abandoned railroad bridge over the Hop River, including a pedestrian bridge, and the Proposed Bill No. 117 LCO No. 1632 2 of 2 construction of four thousand four hundred feet of a multi-use trail as part of the East Coast Greenway system in Hop River State Park in Columbia.
