AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY CONCERNING THE EFFECTS OF VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES ON CHILD AND ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR AND DEVELOPMENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the Department of Public Health, in consultation with the 1 Department of Children and Families and the Department of 2 Education, be required to study the effects of violent video games on 3 child and adolescent behavior and development and report on the 4 results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General 5 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health not 6 later than February 1, 2020. 7 Statement of Purpose: To study the impact of violent video games on children.
