AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO STUDY
NONEMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That a task force be established to study nonemergency medical 1
transportation for Medicaid recipients, including, but not limited to, (1) 2
response times, cancellation and tardiness rates of the current 3
nonemergency transportation service provider, (2) ways to ensure 4
adequate response time to requests for service, (3) appropriate 5
penalties for cancellation of service, and (4) appropriate penalties for 6
tardy service. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that nonemergency medical transportation services are
adequate, responsive and appropriate for the communities that use
them.
