AN ACT CONCERNING EQUITABLE MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT
FOR FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER PRACTITIONERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-245b of the general statutes be amended to require 1
the Commissioner of Social Services, on or before July 1, 2019, to (1) 2
equalize rates paid to primary care or treating practitioners at federally 3
qualified health centers with rates paid to such practitioners at other 4
health centers for electronic consultation services, and (2) pay such 5
rates in addition to the fixed fee patient visit rates at each federally 6
qualified health center. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure an adequate number of providers at federally qualified
health centers by more equitably reimbursing them.
