AN ACT PROTECTING EMPLOYERS WHO TERMINATE OR REFUSE 
TO HIRE AN EMPLOYEE BECAUSE OF A FAILED MARIJUANA DRUG 
TEST. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 925 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1 
protections to an employer in a civil action that in whole, or in part, is 2 
attributable to the employer's decision to fire or refuse to hire an 3 
employee because of a failed marijuana drug test. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To insulate an employer from a civil action that is related to firing or 
refusing to hire an employee because of a positive marijuana test.
