| 24 | 24 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 25 | 25 | | Assembly convened: |

| 27 | 27 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Education 1 |

| 28 | 28 | | shall study issues related to the installation of camera video systems 2 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | inside school buses and student transportation vehicles used to 3 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | transport students with special needs and make recommendations 4 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | regarding the installation and operation of such systems and the 5 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | storage, security and use of recordings. Not later than January 1, 2020, 6 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | the commissioner shall submit the results of such study and any 7 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | recommendations, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 8 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General 9 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education and 10 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | transportation. 11 |
