AN ACT CONCERNING ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR CERTAIN 
RETIRED PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to permit any municipality, by 1 
a two-thirds vote of the legislative body of such municipality, to 2 
annually pay any public safety employee of such municipality who 3 
was disabled on duty the difference between the employee's disability 4 
retirement pay and regular rate of pay prior to retirement until the 5 
employee reaches sixty-five years of age. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To permit any municipality, by a two-thirds vote of the legislative 
body of such municipality, to annually pay a public safety employee of 
such municipality who was disabled on duty the difference between 
the employee's disability retirement pay and regular rate of pay prior 
to retirement until the employee reaches sixty-five years of age.
