AN ACT PROHIBITING OFF-SHORE DRILLING FOR OIL AND GAS IN 
CONNECTICUT. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit off-shore drilling 1 
for oil and gas off the state coastline in the territorial waters of the 2 
state. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To minimize adverse environmental and tourism impacts from off-
shore oil and gas drilling.
